I'm trying to learn cool songs on the piano (did i mention i dont REALLY play or REALLY read sheet music? i learned all the keys and how to read single notes on sheet music)

I'm trying online tutorials but they all SUCK because like... they go all 'its a basic Emajor chord' and i dont understand that crap, then they'll have the camera angled where you cant see their fingers!!!

About six months ago learned the basic melody for My immortal, but then i couldn't ever figure out more than that cause they all suck on youtube.

I also learned the intro and first verse of Cancer last night, and its probably a simplified version, since its all just 4 counds of 2 notes with the treble and 1 note in teh bass at a time.


I totally write my music out strange, too.

This is the intro i use for Cancer in CHELSEA music: (yes, i have this written in a notebook on my desk, lol, but once i learned it, i dont have to look at it again)

Intro:

E->E B+ E E_ F E
B E_ x4 X2

First Verse:

E G#+E x4
B F#+E_x4
C# C#+E x4
A C+E x4

x2 of V1:

Add finger walk from C# to A on Bhand as Thand changes from C#+E to C+E


... thats actually all i know of it, which isn't much, but seriously, see how strange my piano playing is? i dont play by ear per se as much as i play by keys and notes. I can usually recognize the note by ear, but i dont play from memory, and i cant afford lessons to learn REAL sheet music.

why am i telling this?

No idea... however, if you know a good tutorial that is UNDERSTANDABLE TO A HELPLESS CASE LIKE ME of ANY SONG THAT IS EASY AND GOOD, totally link it.
